Well, the email notification script is done and running. Big thanks to Asmodee for setting us up with the last piece, the automation to run the script every 5 minutes or so.

That means that in theory, once you start playing, the longest you should have to wait for the script to email everyone is about 5 minutes. That’s pretty cool.

That’s right, we’ve got a million monkeys on a million computers trying to hack out the bits and pieces of code for the updated site… well, actually, we’ve got RyanJ on one computer but he’s doing a great job of pulling things together. We spent a couple of hours chewing through the server detection and notification script and we may have a prototype for testing within the week!

Lots of changes are on the way and step-by-step, we’ll all be making this site into something fantastic!

Welcome to 2009! Damn, no robotic overlords… yet. But that Roomba over in the corner’s kinda creeping me out.

MixAddicts is going to undergo some changes this year and I’m excited about it because Mike got the ball rolling with his previously announced name change from kidMike to Mick Stevens. (There’s really not much of a story behind the name so don’t hassle him about it, or Dirty Landry.) Check back with us regularly or help participate with the changes by joining us in chat or in the forums.

It’s Christmas Eve here in North America… our “Down Unda” friends are already opening the presents under the 6 white boomers. I hope everyone finds something DJ-esque under the tree or in the stocking.

For those who have some time off between Xmas and New Year’s, pop into the chatroom as it’s likely we’ll have more streaming than usual going on over the break.
